Hubynykha is a compact settlement in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast built around a major railway junction. It forms the central interchange linking the Pokrovsk rail axis with national networks heading west, north, and south.

Hubynykha developed during the Soviet period as a supporting settlement for the rail complex servicing industrial freight flows. Over time it became a fully operational interchange town, handling significant through-traffic for eastern and central Ukraine.
