The Pokrovsk Industrial Belt is a mixed-use industrial zone located on the western edge of the city. It hosts mechanical workshops, small factories, storage depots, and municipal utility facilities supporting local logistics and maintenance operations.

Geography

The zone spans a roughly rectangular corridor north of the Pokrovsk rail line, bordered by residential districts to the east and open fields to the west. Its industrial character is defined by workshops, fenced compounds, and paved service lanes.

History

Developed during the late Soviet period and expanded in the 1990s, the district evolved into a multifunctional industrial hub. Its facilities gradually shifted from heavy manufacturing to automotive, utility, and storage services.

Present Day

Under wartime conditions, the area hosts maintenance activities, storage of municipal and logistical equipment, and limited repair operations. Its proximity to the rail line increases its value but also presents elevated risk.
