View on Le Bec Abbey

The Benedictine Abbey of Le Bec is the quite place in the hills of Normandy where Lanfranc of Bec and Anselm of Canterbury were monk before christianizing the British Isles.

The drawing shows the old tower and gates from the window of the houses opposite to the street. the abbey is hidden among the tall green trees. The roses that grow in the flower boxes below the houses windows fill the drawings lower part.
